LCD Shows “Unavailable” or “Try Another Preset”? Here's What It Means
These messages mean the player is online but blocked from reaching Custom Channels' streaming servers.
What This Means
If your screen says:
-
“Unavailable”
-
“Try another preset”
…it means the player is on and connected to the internet, but it can’t reach our music servers.
This is usually a network issue, often caused by a firewall or internet settings that are blocking access.
What to Do
Please talk to your IT person or whoever manages your internet.
Tell them:
“Our music player is powered on but can’t connect to the Custom Channels music service. It may be a firewall or network setting that’s blocking it.”
They don’t need to do anything complicated — just check that the player is allowed to connect out to the internet.
Once the issue is resolved, the player should automatically reconnect and start playing music again.
