No Audio – Player Shows It’s Receiving Music

If your Compact Player has a green audio light, or your LCD screen shows a playlist or track title, the player is receiving music correctly. That means the issue is most likely with your AV setup — not the music source.

1. Check the Volume and Input

  • Confirm the volume is up on your stereo or amplifier

  • Make sure the input hasn’t been accidentally changed

  • Ask your team: When did the music last work? Did anyone touch the system?

2. Check the Audio Cable

  • Confirm the audio cable is securely connected to both the player and the amplifier

  • If possible, try another input or port

3. Reboot the Player

  • Power off the player

  • Wait 10 seconds

  • Power it back on

This can fix temporary playback or buffering issues.
