How to Add or Remove Songs Using Search & Discover in ReMix
This guide shows how to find songs using the Search & Discover feature in ReMix, and how to add them to—or remove them from—specific playlists.
Step-by-Step Guide
1. Open the Search & Discover Tool
-
In the ReMix interface, look at the left-hand side of the screen.
-
Click on Search & Discover to access the music library.
2. Search for a Song or Artist
-
Use the search bar to type a song title, artist, or other keywords.
3. Review Playlist Placement
-
If a song is already in a playlist, a check mark will appear next to it.
-
Hover over the check mark to see a list of all playlists where the song is currently included.
Example: “Weekend Happy Hour”
4. Remove a Song from a Playlist
-
If you don’t want to hear a song again in a specific playlist:
-
Click the dropdown arrow next to the check mark.
-
Select Remove.
-
The song will be excluded from that playlist going forward.
-
5. Add a Song to a Playlist
-
If the song is not in a playlist and you'd like it added:
-
Click the Add button.
-
Select the target playlist (e.g., “Afternoon”).
-
The song will immediately be added and scheduled for playback when that playlist is active.
-
6. Finalize Changes
-
Once you’ve finished adding or removing songs, simply close the Search & Discover window.
-
Your updates are saved automatically.
Tips
-
You can use this tool reactively: if a song plays and you dislike it, remove it on the spot.
-
Likewise, proactively add songs you know your audience will love, even if they fall outside your style settings.
-
A song can belong to multiple playlists simultaneously.
